The Ultimate Preseason Preparation for Rugby League 

It's time again for you to choose what kind of a season you will have next year. The preseason is where you and I will harden all the weaknesses and flaws in your game to crush next year. Last year's Preseason sold out in record time so if you missed out last time or want to go back-to-back for another preseason, here's your chance.

The program includes a fortnightly session where we will cover all structures and phases of general training as well as rugby league specific drills. Each player will also receive access to online training programs to keep gaining momentum in between our sessions.

Over the course of this program we will set down a foundation of general strength and speed, before moving over to the rugby league specific drills. The closer we can mimic the movements of what we do in a game the greater the odds of it transferring over. Preseason training is tough, and it's gruelling, but one thing is for sure, at the end of it all you will be bulletproof physically and mentally.

The Program

Full Body Strength, Muscle Mass and Core Conditioning

We will be training with advanced bodyweight, power band and progressive overload techniques that will significantly enhance full body strength, muscle mass and core strength.

We will sharpen up your general strength and power before switching attention to our all-important rugby league specific strength and power movements. I will introduce you to my much-hated but effective sled training. These movements will transfer to your game better than any other training you have done before.

Joint Stability and True Agility

You will not see any ladder or hurdle drills at any of my training camps. 

I have worked with hundreds of rugby league players and I know what works well for my athletes and what is time wasting rubbish. Here you will learn my methods to increase your ability to step and transfer direction.

Line speed and Explosive Power

We are rugby league players not track athletes. Here is where I will again give you my no-nonsense approach to gassing everyone on the paddock. 

Through my rugby league specific drills, you will improve overall speed and acceleration off the mark. This training is an absolute game-changer for every rugby league player that I've trained. I believe it to be the missing link in everyone's training.

Aerobic Capacity and Lactic Threshold

Train hard, play easy I always say. Rugby league is not a fun sport when you have to suck in the big ones after every hit up. There is no point in being big, fast, powerful and strong if you cant complete two tackles in a row without putting your hand up to your bench looking for a spell.

There is nothing like having big a finely tuned motor and being fit enough to go all game. Our conditioning work will test and push you beyond what you think you are capable of but the returns are huge.

Mobility and Injury Prevention

Improving an athlete's stride length or meters per step is all to do with becoming more mobile. Increasing your speed can be as simple as freeing your tight knotted up areas with the right exercises and order. 

Through my dynamic warm-ups and fillers you will feel looser and more agile than ever before as well as the added bonus of preventing injuries all across the body.

Players will be ready to start the season in full peak, with all aspects of performance at an all-time high by round one.

As an exciting bonus, each player will receive online coaching for the entire duration of our training together. 

That's up to 6 months of online training programs. Whether it's bodyweight training for the juniors or gym programs for the seniors I have you covered until 28 February 2023.

But won't footy training cover this?

In my experience, the answer is an absolute NO.

Footy training is not enough to cover the essential intricacies that make a footballer great. At training, it's all about fitness, ball skills, structure and learning the game.
Very rarely will a coach understand how to develop a player's overall speed, power and agility or how it should be applied to his team's seasonal programming. And to be fair, they don't have the time to pack everything you require into two sessions a week; they must prioritise their team's weaknesses as a whole, leaving minimal time to focus on the individual gaps and demands of a single player.

This is where specialised coaches like myself come in, identifying and understanding precisely how, what and when a player should be executing specific drills and movements to improve whatever quality may be lacking. In this program, you will guarantee all bases are covered pushing forward into 2023.

Frequently Asked Questions

What level is this program for?

Our training program is designed for all levels from Junior to A grade players. We split the groups or pair players up with similar ability.

What kind of results can I expect after 8 sessions?  

You will be faster, stronger and more powerful than you have ever been before. The sessions are designed to sharpen every aspect and attribute you need for next season. This is not a fitness bootcamp this is a Rugby League specific training.

What ages can attend? 

Ages 12 and up. Participants must be at least 12 years of age by 1/11/2022

What should I bring?

Footy boots, sunscreen, water, Powerade.

Do you offer makeup sessions?

If you have are unable to attend one of the sessions you are free to attend a makeup session in another area.

Can I get a refund after paying?

No. There are no refunds. You can transfer to another person to take your registration. 

Can I get a refund if I am sick or injured?

We cannot assess people’s illness or injuries and therefore do not offer a refund. You can transfer to another person to take your registration.

Can I get a refund on unused sessions?

No, there are no refunds for unused sessions. 

What is your policy if sessions don't proceed due to COVID-19?

Should COVID-19 restrictions affect sessions we will postpone until restrictions are lifted and therefore will not provide refunds. If rescheduled event dates are not suitable, participants will have the option to transfer their credit to another clinic or one on one training.
